Live Auction

 

This is the typical auction you're likely to be used to - just like Sotheby's or Christie's, only a lot more fun! The auctioneer will offer each item individually, starting each with an opening or minimum bid. To bid on an item, simply hold up your paddle so the auctioneer can see your bidding number. You can keep bidding until you win the item, or you can stop anytime the price goes too high for you.

From the moment we decide to work together with you on your event and set a date for your auction on our calendar, we develop a cohesive strategic plan to maximize your fundraising efforts. If it doesn’t work for you, it cannot work for us.

- Committee ideas and networking techniques
- All the promotional ideas and media tips you’ll need

We will provide you with everything you will need for a successful event, from our professional staff, our copyrighted Auction Planning Guide, a complete variety of items for your auction, all your custom publicity materials which are printed at our own facility at our own cost including tickets, mailers, and custom catalogues. We provide you with extra pages in our catalogue for local advertisements in an effort to help you generate additional revenue. All you have to do is send us your camera-ready ads and we will print them for you.

So what exactly do we ask from you? All we ask of you is a large enough room to present the auction, some willing, enthusiastic volunteers, and a minimum attendance. Our confidence in our own ability to help you to produce a successful event enables us to guarantee that money will be raised at your event regardless of the number of items sold. Independent Galleries auctions create a win, win situation for you and your organization.

  In the Silent Auction all of the items are on display at the same time throughout the auction area. Each Item will have a Silent Bid Sheet next to it with a minimum opening bid and increments. To bid on any item, simply write in your name and amount on the line. The first bid must be the minimum requested, and each consecutive bid must be at east the minimum increment over the previous amount. If others bid after you, you can return to that item and bid again, following the same rules. You may bid as often as you like. When the silent auction is closed, the highest bidder on the sheet wins.
